USS Iwo Jima Diorama
Here are some photos of my award winning diorama of 3 Harriers with flight deck crew on the USS Iwo Jima.
It's won awards at the World Expo in Chicago on 7/6/2017 and Central PA IPMS PennCon in Carlisle, PA. The flight deck is scratch built. I designed the pattern using a Carvewright CNC machine to get the exact 1/48 scale tie down spacing. The flight deck was coated with AK Asphalt. Photo etch tie downs were inserted.
